Abstract

The spontaneous emission of CdTe nanocrystals in TiO2 inverted opals was studied. The emission band of nanocrystals was affected by the interaction with the template, but the correlation of the photoluminescence (PL) band of the colloidal dispersions of quantum dots was preserved. The input-output characteristics of the spontaneous emission demonstrated the saturation of the excitation-to-emission conversion in the emission band and the conversion efficiency improvement related to the photonic band gap.
