Modeling of the Contouring Errors of CNC Milling-Machines and Its Feed-forward Compensation

Research output: Chapters, Conference Papers, Creative and Literary Works › RGC 32 - Refereed conference paper (with host publication) › peer-review

Abstract

A prediction model of the contouring errors of CNC milling-machines is developed experimentally and analytically in this paper. Feed-forward compensation tests have been done on a XHK 716 CNC milling-machine by modifying the NC commands, the result demonstrates the correctness of the predicted model and the effectivity of the compensation method, over 70 per cent of the errors being compensated.
