Abstract
This note is devoted to the study of manufacturing systems with parallel production lines. By using overlapping decomposition method, a convergent recursive procedure is presented to estimate system production rate with high accuracy. The results obtained are illustrated by a case study at an automotive assembly plant. © 2004 IEEE.
