Abstract

Molecular dynamics simulations were performed to examine the influence of grain boundary inclination on the stress-driven motion of flat <0 1 0> Σ5 tilt asymmetric of different inclinations in Ni. The inclination dependence of the mobility, boundary diffusivity and energy are correlated. Special properties are associated with low index boundary planes.
