Artist's note:
Hong Kong Disneyland opened in 2005 as a government initiative in Hong Kong to boost up the economy devastated by SARS in 2003. But the history of Disney in Hong Kong can be traced back to long before that. Many Disney’s licensed toys were made in Hong Kong in the 1960s. Many of my generation grew up with the weekly tele-broadcast of The Wonderful World of Disney in the 1970s. However, this one was licensed in 1998 and made in China. It belonged to a young woman who had it as a gift for more than 10 years, but she gave it up when clearing her home.
