Abstract

Time-of-flight neutron diffractometers at spallation neutron source, which measure a large number of reflections simultaneously, are ideally suited for mapping the generalized pole figures. In this paper, we describe a method of measuring the strain pole figures using a spallation neutron source for constructing the grain-orientation-dependent stress. A new method to construct the grain-orientation-dependent stored energy from the peak broadening pole figures is also proposed. © 2002 by Trans Tech Publications Ltd, Switzerland
