Abstract
Matrix-based methods for the design of transconductor ladder filters are presented. When transconductors with low impedance inputs are used these allow the realization of highly selective bandpass responses using a single value of transconductance. If conventional transconductors are used, transconductor ratios can be restricted to the input and damping branches for any response. The methods are illustrated by the design of a sixth-order elliptic bandpass ladder.
