Abstract
Transitions from waveguide to microstrip at microwave and millimeter-wave frequencies are often necessary for signal-processing purposes. While this transition is not straight-forward and can easily lead to impedance mismatches, an effective means of matching the two transmission-line formats has been developed based on a manufacturable T-shaped waveguide structure.
