Abstract
The synthesis, characterisation and photophysical properties of a series of new rhenium(I) polypyridine complexes, [Re(N-N)(CO)3(py-3-NCS)]3+, reported; the isothiocyanate moiety enables these complexes to react with primary amine groups of modified oligonucleotides and proteins.
