Abstract
A small-size circularly polarized (CP) microstrip patch antenna with a cross slot using a single L-shaped probe feed is designed and measured. This L-shaped probe single-feed CP antenna can achieve a wider impedance bandwidth, axial-ratio bandwidth, and gain bandwidth without using the phase shifters or hybrid couplers. Therefore, this simpler design of an L-shaped probe CP antenna is suitable for use in many communication systems.
