Abstract

The effect of a directional photonic bandgap upon the photoluminescence spectrum was discussed. The emission directional diagram and the emission rate of CdTe colloidal nanocrystals in thin opal films were also discussed. Several examples of Si- and Sb2Se3-inverted opals with large enough contrast were presented.
