The text gives an introduction and description to the installation exhibited at lotsremark in Basel and the central masterpiece 'The Golden Calf' by the Australian pioneer of media art Jeffrey Shaw. The exhibition 'Jeffrey Shaw. Encompassing the Golden Calf 1966>2019' was shown in June 2019 on the occasion of Art Basel.
