Abstract
This paper proposes an algorithm for optimizing activity sequence and a model for evaluating schedule /cost risks based on the Dependency Structural Matrix (DSM) theory. The optimization algorithm aims to minimize unnecessary actitivities by the arrangement of properly activities execution order. Simultaneously, the risk evaluation model also considers any uncertainties of project activities as well as the learning effects. The simulation result indicates that our optimization algorithm can effectively of project activities as well as the learning effects. The simulation result indicates that our optimization algorithm can effectively reduce cost and compress schedule for complicated IT projects.
