    Abstract

The method to enhance polarization isolation of dual polarized L-probe coupled patch antenna arrays is discussed. It is stated that a wide isolation bandwidth can be obtained by placing the two flinges of U shaped ground plane in parallel to E-plane and with suitable distance to the probe. The isolation bandwidth can be maintained by placing two conducting flanges with suitable height and distance in perpendicular to the E-plane and by decreasing the distance between the two flanges and the probe. The isolation bandwidth thus obtained is found to be sufficient to cover CDMA+GSM band.
