Abstract

The book provides a structure around a fast moving world economy and a fierce competition climate in the market place which has become a big challenge to both big and small business enterprises. It addresses issues such as outsourcing, sustainable development, and corporate social responsibility, among others. The four authours (Mondejar is lead author) provide a unique blend of skillls with their experiences on management issues in Asia, Europe and North America, inside and outside the academe. They combine years of teaching in Hong Kong, Tokyo, Thailand, Taiwan, Barcelona, Malaysia, and Manila to make the topic of international business accessible and enjoyable. The case studies included in the book bring the concepts of globalization to life for students and help them reinforce their knowledge by analyzing the challenges and opportunities faced by real-world companies.
