Abstract

A new mimic biological sampling devices, consisting of lipid-containing semipermeable membrane for sampling organic pollutants has been introduced. Satisfactory results were obtained when this kind of device was used for monitoring organic pollutants, such as polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs), organicchlorined pesticides (OCP) and polynuclear aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs), in air, water, seawater and sediment.
