Internet-based dynamic knowledge sites league

Product design is complicated system engineering. A successful product design needs to be achieved through integrating the efforts of design teams in various design stages, and synthetically utilizing all kinds of knowledge situated in various fields, disciplines, and distributed in various locations. Aiming to provide knowledge resources integrated environment for product designer, a scheme of the Internet-based dynamic knowledge sites league is proposed. The system structure and the key issues are discussed in detail. As increasing and expanding of knowledge resource, an efficient and feasible approach of knowledge searching within Internet is a core factor that effect the running performance of dynamic knowledge sites league. In this paper, a two-step-searching strategy for knowledge searching is proposed. The ultimate objective of this paper is to construct knowledge resources integrated environment over the Internet for product design.
