Abstract
A coaxially fed hemispherical dielectric resonator antenna is investigated theoretically. The input impedance of the lowest order TE111 mode that radiates efficiently in the broadside direction is calculated using the reaction formula. The result is compared with experimental data available in the literature. The effects of the probe length, feed position and dielectric constant on the input impedance are studied.
