Abstract

Companies are heavily investing in information technology (IT) to enhance their market performance and competitiveness. IT also offers valuable opportunities in new product development for industrial companies. Several companies report that they successfully use IT in their new product development activities. This article explores how IT can be used to facilitate new product development activities and discusses its potential pitfalls.
