Abstract
The effect of post-growth thermal treatment on optical figures of merit of ZnCd(SCN)4 crystal was studied. It was established that annealing with nitrogen gas improved bulk transparency and homogeneity of the samples and decreased the volume and surface optical loss, and increased the material's homogeneity. © 2003 Elsevier B.V.
