Abstract

Screening curated by Max Hattler.

As the region’s first institution of this kind, the School of Creative Media at City University of Hong Kong, was founded to nurture interdisciplinary artists and creative media professionals that bridge the boundaries between art and technology, and between traditional and new media. Now after two decades of growth, the School continues to espouse and advance these aims as the clear leader in its field. Students are trained across a range of disciplines spanning photography, animation, film, interactive media, gaming, installation art and digital media. This screening presents animation films made by students of the School, ranging from abstract to award-winning, from thought-provoking to “very Hong Kong”.
