Abstract

The unimolecular dissociation of energy-selected NH3 + near its threshold for the formation of NH2 ++ H was examined using a high-resolution PFI-PEPICO technique. Highly accurate values for D0(H-NH2 +), IE(NH2), and ΔH° f0(NH2 +) were determined through appropriate thermochemical cycles. Similar to previous studies, a sharp step-like feature was observed in the PFI-PE spectrum of NH3.
