Abstract

Using complex-source-point method, it is shown that the linearity polarized TEM//0//l azimuthal modes from conventional beam wave theory should be replaced by two other sets of azimuthal modes with different polarization configurations. The difference in frequency for the same-order mode for these two sets is calculated and verified by experiment.
