Abstract

A study was conducted to report a highly efficient blue organic light-emitting diode (OLED), based on a newly synthesized material 3,6-di[8-(7,10-diphenylfluoranthenyl)]-9-[4'-tert-butylphenynl]carbazole (DDPFTBC). The DDPFTBC-based nondoped device demonstrated a stable emission with the CIE coordinates of high current and power efficiencies of 8.7 cd/A and 9.1 1m/W. It was observed that that the DDPFTBC-based device is quite stable and its current efficiency remains a high value after several days of storage. These significant device performances demonstrated that DDPFTBC is suitable for commercial applications.
