Abstract

Very-large-scale-integrated circuits (VLSIs) and field-programmable gate arrays (FPGAs) are definitely competitive in computation-intensive applications, benefiting from their inherent parallelism, customizable property, and low power consumption. They are mostly employed to accelerate various algorithms since their introduction, by which large design space can be obtained to explore different levels of parallelization.
