Abstract

To regulate the significant variations of the dynamic characteristics of the distributed collector field in a solar power plant, in this paper, an unique Hierarchical Genetic Algorithms (HGA) has been employed for the design and optimization of the fuzzy logic controller for this purpose. This method not only fulfils the required performance, but also minimize the number of fuzzy membership functions and rules applied. This can be a valued asset for the design of a simple hardware implementable fuzzy controller.
