Abstract

Instead of being a new and evolving field of criminology, white collar criminality has been overwhelmingly prevalent throughout every sector of the country because of its very distinguished features e.g. difficulty to be identified, the fact that most of the white collar criminals belong to upper society, and the sophisticated ways of its commission. Since, the upper class society of any society come with financial powers and professional controlling authority, the traditional legal system and laws are not well equipped to come up against this ever-increasing criminality and cope with its harmful effects on both social and state life. Hence, the legislature as well as the government with due regard to the available resources ought to think of the matter anew and re-examine the existing legal safeguards how they can be adequately empowered and sufficiently skilled to successfully bring white collar crimes under control.
