Abstract
We consider a classical model in the kinetic theory for plasma-the Vlasov-MaxwellFokker-Planck system. Global-in-time classical solutions near Maxwellian are constructed based on an approach by combining the compensating function and energy method. In addition, a convergence rate in time of the solution to its equilibrium is obtained. © 2010 Society for Industrial and Applied Mathematics.
