Abstract

A double sided sickle-shape printed dipolar antenna optimized using genetic algorithm is proposed. The proposed antenna has a wide impedance bandwidth and small variations in radiation pattern and gain across the entire UWB frequency range. This can be used in multi-band, OFDM and impulse radio modulation schemes, making it suitable for UWB triple mode use. © 2007 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
