Abstract

This article examines the strategic significance of Kazakhstan within China's Belt and Road Initiative (BRI). Kazakhstan, due to its geographical and resource-rich position, plays a crucial role in the BRI, especially in the context of China's need for energy resources like oil and natural gas. The article also highlights the efforts of both Kazakhstan and China in diversifying the former's economy, particularly through agricultural ventures. These ventures, supported by Chinese technology and investment, aim to strengthen Kazakhstan's non-resource-based sectors. The study provides a comprehensive analysis of Sino-Kazakhstani cooperation, focusing on agriculture and infrastructure projects, and the opportunities and challenges that have emerged under the BRI framework.
