Abstract

In this paper, two investigations of transparent patch antennas are demonstrated. One is using the liquor serving as the antennas while another is the study of the temperature influence of the distilled water on the antenna’s radiation performances. The measured results show that the liquor has wide impedance bandwidth of more than 30% for |S11| < - 10 dB and the temperature variation of the water does not affect the impedance bandwidth performances obviously. Due to the lower freezing point of the liquor and the measured results, the transparent patch antenna is believed to have more potential applications on the environments with larger temperature variations.
