Abstract

Based on Wigner-Ville distribution, this paper presents a new method for fundamental frequency estimation. The influence of the cross-term in the traditional Wigner-Ville distribution is lessened through the time-averaging technique with the time interval adaptive to the fundamental frequency. Experimental results show that this new method can achieve a fairly good estimation accuracy of fundamental fiequency. © 1992 IEEE.
