Abstract
The planar Y-junction circulators including microstrip and stripline circulators with lossy ferrite disks are analyzed by the FDTD method, The electromagnetic field distributions inside the junction are pictured to help to understand the mechanism of the circulators. The scattering parameters are calculated, which are consistent with those obtained by Bosma's approach. The effects of the damping factor of ferrite and the substrate height on the circulation characteristics are investigated. © 2002 J of Electromagn Waves and Appl. All right reserved.
