Abstract
In this paper, two methodologies are proposed to formulate high-dimensional chaotic maps based on the conventional two-dimensional Cat map. It is proved that these new generated chaotic maps not only have similar properties to their parental map, such as area-preservation and chaotic, they also possess a better mixing nature and high complexity, granting them to be good potential candidates for practical applications. ©2008 IEEE.
