FDP and FCP with four types of faults

Research output: Chapters, Conference Papers, Creative and Literary Works › Chapter in research book/monograph/textbook (Author) › peer-review

    Abstract

This chapter incorporates different easiness of detection and correction of the software fault into the modeling of software fault detection process and fault correction process. In particular, the faults are classified as four types: (1) easy to detect and easy to correct; (2) easy to detect, but difficult to correct; (3) difficult to detect and easy to correct; and (4) difficult to detect and difficult to correct. The parameter estimation method is introduced, and the applications of the models are illustrated with real dataset. The optimal software release time policy is also studied.
