Abstract

Simulations were conducted to investigate factors that influence the performance of logistic regression method in assessing differential item functioning (DIF) for within-multidimensional data. The matching variable significantly influenced the power under the balanced DIF patterns. The larger the magnitude of DIF, the higher the power under all balanced and imbalanced DIF patterns.
