Abstract

The structure of writing a Fiber Bragg Grating (FBG) using a phase mask is optimized, so the stability of machine and temperature during writing is improved, the reflectivity of FBG is also increased and its bandwidth decreased. The high quality FBG′s with reflectivity up to 99 % and bandwidth below 0. 2nm were obtained in the civil-made photosensitive fibers. This type of FBG has many potential applications in fiber sensor systems.
