Abstract
The projection from the contralateral eye dominates the cat's visual cortex. Binocular neurones in any small region have their receptive fields more widely scattered over the ipsilateral retina than over the contralateral. Stereoscopic vision may depend on this difference in the two projections. © 1970 Nature Publishing Group.
