Abstract
Based on full-scale measurements of a low-rise building with roof pitch of 2%, the temporal and spatial characteristics of mean, fluctuating and peak pressures coefficients were investigated, and the area-averaged pressure coefficients were summarized. A model building of L×B×H=6 m×4 m×4 m was constructed to study the wind pressure distributions on low-rise buildings at seashore. Comparison was made with the avaiable wind tunnel test data. It is found that the distributions of the pressure coefficients agree well with those of the field measurements. It is expected that the results presented in this paper should be valuable for wind-resistance design of low-rise buildings.
