Experimental studies on the Fourier spectrum due to double-grating diffraction-interference effect under near-coherent illumination

Research output: Journal Publications and ReviewsRGC 21 - Publication in refereed journalpeer-review

Abstract

The Fourier spectrum due to double-grating diffraction-interference effect under near-coherent illumination is investigated experimentally. It is verified that the Fourier spectrum will split under certain special conditions. The splitting of the Fourier spectrum is related to the light source coherence and the Lau condition. The experimental results are in good agreement with the theoretical predictions.
