Abstract
The effects of process conditions on the morphological evolution in injection molding of polymer blends are investigated with experimental methods. Numerous injection molding tests on isotactic polypropylene/polyolefin elastomer blends are conducted under varying process conditions, including the injection rate, melt temperature, packing pressure, packing time, and cooling time. The mean radius and deformation rate of dispersed phase of the moldings are observed and measured. Comparison of the experiments suggests a fine predictive competence and different influence degrees with variation of the injection molding process conditions.
