Abstract
What are the advantages and disadvantages of a reengineering process using the OO approach in small systems? We will discuss the possibilities. Here we walk through the steps of how a furniture retail system, originially designed with the SSADM approach and implemented in Clipper, was re-engineered using the Booch method. Many problems are involved when switching from the SSADM approach to the OO approach; we've tried to match those problems with the appropriate solutions.
