Abstract
Demand response is introduced to the practice of power peak load shifting and the stability of load curves. However, conventional indexes of load characteristics can hardly characterize the stability of load curves. Thus, the evaluation index of demand response based on stationarity measure of time series is developed. Compared with conventional indexes of load characteristics, this new evaluation index is more rational, which can be verified by a range of new indexes of load characteristics like the absolute value of load margin, the weighted path length, and the information entropy along with some conventional indexes of load characteristics, such as peak-valley ratio and the standard deviation. Case studies show that these indexes can relatively evaluate the stability of load curves in a more efficient way. © 2019 IEEE.
