Abstract

In the originally published version of this manuscript there were some format errors. The section, ‘Partisan bias of perceived incivility’ should be, ‘Consequences of biased perceptions’ and this section should be a subsection of, ‘Results’. The section, ‘Additional study and analysis on ambiguity’ should be another subsection of ‘Results’. Finally, ‘Limitations and future research’ should be a subsection of ‘Discussion and conclusion’.
