Abstract

The overall achievable rate of wireless mesh access networks is discussed. We consider a wireless mesh access network where each access point autonomously adjusts the operating frequency and power in a selfish fashion. We prove the convergence of this dynamic process and investigate the inefficiency of Nash equilibria, from a game theoretical perspective. To bridge the performance gap, we propose a pricing scheme to overcome the selfish behaviors. The improvement on equilibrium efficiency is validated by simulations. © 2007 IEEE.
