Abstract

We study rigorously the response of a finite polygonal plate to an external electromagnetic field at finite frequencies with our recent approach generalizing the conformal mapping idea to finite frequency electromagnetics. We find that vortices of an algebraic nature are generated at the corners. A way to measure these local vortices via an induced static voltage is proposed.
