Electro-Optic Mode-Selective Switch Based on Cascaded Lithium-Niobate Waveguide Directional Couplers

Abstract

We demonstrate an electro-optic mode-selective switch based on the structure of cascaded lithium-niobate asymmetric waveguide directional couplers, where a high-index oxide layer is deposited on a waveguide of the coupler for post-tuning its switching efficiency.
