Electrical and dielectric behavior of carbon nanotube-filled polymer composites

Research output: Chapters, Conference Papers, Creative and Literary Works › RGC 12 - Chapter in an edited book (Author) › peer-review

    Abstract

In this chapter, recent advances in the synthesis of multiwalled carbon nanotube/polyvinylidene fluoride (MWNT/PVDF) and MWNT/epoxy nanocomposites and their electrical properties are briefly reviewed. It mainly concentrates on the attainment of homogeneous dispersion of carbon nanotubes in the polymer matrix in order to obtain low percolation threshold, high electrical conductivity, large dielectric constant and low dielectric loss. The structure-processing-property relationship of these nanocomposites is also discussed. © 2010 Woodhead Publishing Limited All rights reserved.
