Abstract
This paper concerns the elastic buckling of radial, uniformly loaded, thin circular plates that are continuous over nonaxisymmetric internal line/ curved supports. The recently developed pb-2 Rayleigh-Ritz method [t] is used for the analysis. In the formulation, the entire circular plate is treated as a single continuum element, even when there are complicated internal curved supports. Because the pb-2 Ritz function is expressed as a product of two kinds of shape functions, one of which satisfies the plate. © 1993, Taylor & Francis Group, LLC. All rights reserved.
