Abstract

The auxiliary differential equation (ADE) method is widely used with FDTD to analyze disper{reversed not sign}sive media, and it requires rational function models for the relative permittivity. In this paper, a new and efficient ADE formulation for the models with complex-conjugate pole-residue pairs is developed and validated. © 2014 Optical Society of America.
